The Saab 9-7X was the first V8 in the Saab lineup. The 9-7X was based on the American truck platform, it was a solid, good-looking vehicle with safety innovations available in the following body modifications: sport sedan, convertible or sport wagon. The first model came off in 2005. The 9-7X was the first American-built Saab. It was the only SUV that was not available with rear-wheel drive. From 2006 and up to 2008 the packing list of 9-7X faced only minor improvements, until in 2008 the new model, 9-7X Aero, was released.
